Hi! I’m Kathleen. I’m a South Florida native with a Montessori education, currently living in Portland, Oregon.

I am a board member at the Independent Publishing Resource Center and graphic design teacher at Portland State University. I volunteer with Bike Summer and ReclaimIt.

Previously, I was art director for newspapers Willamette Week and Portland Mercury, and comic book designer at Dark Horse Comics.

When not designing pages or creating type, I like to play music and get out. I studied cultural anthropology and worked as a body piercer before moving west. I continue to be very curious and fascinated by pop culture and human stories.

I am available for freelance design, talks, and the occasional workshop. Send me a note!
